Super Simple Putty

Three cups of water
3 cups flour divided into 3 cups,
3/4 cup of salt
Eight teaspoons cream tartar
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Food colouring, what colour you’d like to create your own putty

1. In a medium or large saucepan, mix your dry ingredients , mixing wellbefore adding your wet ingredients. With an enormous spatula or spoon to mix all the ingredients till the mix is free of clumps.

2. The mixture is heated over medium-low temperature, and then whisk it often. While you stir the mixture, it will begin to get clumped together. Return to the spatula for mixing and then continue to stir. If a large clump of mixture is formed, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.

3. After cooling to a comfortable temperature, you can begin to work it with your hands. Once the consistency is consistent start separating the putty into sections that are even in case you’re making various colors. In this batch, we have been able to create quite a few different shades. To apply the food colouring create an impression with your thumb in the middle of the ball. Slowly add small amounts of food colouring in intervals between kneads to ensure the colour is evenly distributed. Once you’ve reached the desired hue then the fun can begin!
